For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

He also set in the Church, apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors, and evangelists, see, all that for the perfecting of the Body. And in this Body, every local body, He gave nine spiritual gifts, and those gifts are different kinds;
wisdom, knowledge, speaking in tongues, gifts of healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth; nine spiritual gifts, all to show His love towards the Church, see, that He wants you to stay in order, the great Holy Spirit Himself being the Tutor of the Church.
It’s too bad we took a bishop instead of the Holy Spirit, to be our tutor, see. The Holy Spirit is the Tutor that God gave to the Church, to raise the Church, to bring it up in the admonition of God.
So the Holy Spirit freely sets these gifts in the Church, and they perfectly operate, if you just won’t get excited and try to just take what you think yourself.
That’s where people make mistakes: I find that, among the people, that somebody gets all influenced and kind of hepped up a little, by the Holy Spirit, which, is wonderful, stimulated, but there, someone will come to you and say, “Does the Lord say so-and-so?”
See, you don’t have to give them a answer. Don’t you say it unless God says it, then you got THUS SAITH THE LORD, then nothing can keep it from happening, it’s just got to happen. 63-1113 - The Sign Of This Time
Impressions
Now, in those visions and interpretations, I cannot tell the interpretation of a dream until I see exactly, by vision, what the dream was.

But all these impressions, we mustn’t take them and say, “THUS SAITH THE LORD.” We mustn’t do that. We must have a direct voice, an answer from God, before we can say it’s God. Not an impression, not a sensation, no matter how much it’s pulsating.
You might say, “I believe it could be this way.” But when you speak, “THUS SAITH THE LORD,” it’s not you. Watch on the platform. Have you ever seen it fail?
THUS SAITH THE LORD is perfect, never has failed. And as long as it is THUS SAITH THE LORD, it can’t fail. 62-1230E - Is This The Sign Of The End, Sir?
You need to be careful telling others your dreams or impressions. Even the verified nine Spiritual Gifts have to be judged whether they are true.
Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
A prophecy has to be judged by three witnesses (two or three) before it can be given or accepted in the church, according to the Scriptures. 61-0205E - Jesus Christ The Same Yesterday, Today, And Forever

What is the Word of Wisdom?
Literally “The Logos of Sophia”
Logos or word is the vehicle, so you could say “spoken wisdom” or “doctrinal wisdom”.
We’re going to dwell on wisdom itself more than the gift.
True Wisdom comes from God by revelation

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:

For the Lord giveth wisdom: Out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
Solomon had at least three gifts, wisdom, knowledge and discernment. These gifts made room for themselves and the people acknowledged it. If you have a gift to speak a word of wisdom you won’t have to advertise.
True Wisdom is from the Word.
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the Lord my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it.
Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.
True Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: A good understanding have all they that do his commandments: His praise endureth for ever.
True Wisdom is brotherly love
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
Let brotherly love continue.
And now, in the Pentecostal church of today, comparing the two and what’s happened…Now, if you’ll notice the routine of the gifts: the first is a gift of wisdom. The first is the gift of wisdom. That is the best gift of the group.
And if we don’t have wisdom, we won’t know how to use knowledge, is the second gift. And if we can’t use the second gift without wisdom, how are we going to use the last gift, interpretation?
or next to the last, speaking in tongues? Our zeal has eat up our wisdom, and our zeal for our denominations and our enthusiasm has eat up the wisdom off of the vine, brotherly love. 57-0309B - I Will Restore
Now, I believe that the Pentecostal church has all nine spiritual gifts operating in it, but it’s so mixed up. If we could only get quietened down, away from our differences and become one great united body, God would place those gifts exactly where they belong. Then you’d see miracles done, signs and wonders done.
These gifts, like speaking with tongues, how we misuse that, just fly loose any time. Did you realize that that’s wrong? Certainly it is, but put it in its place and let it be used exactly the way God intended it to be, it’ll bring down the power and blessings of God. Out of place it’ll cause confusion, like Paul said, say aren’t you all crazy?” or so forth.
Healing is a marvelous thing. But if it’s misused, placed in the wrong position, then it becomes a reproach. All the other gifts are the same.
...Explain to you, if everything was operating perfect in harmony with God, this great Pentecostal group would be one great, big Pentecostal church of the living God. That’s right. But the way we misuse…The gifts are here. But, as I said the other morning, we hold so much on speaking in tongues and interpretation.
Now, watch it. That’s the last and the least of the gifts. The first gift was wisdom; the second gift was knowledge. And what good is it going to do to have knowledge if you haven’t got wisdom to know how to take care of your knowledge?
What good does it do to speak with tongues if you haven’t got wisdom to know when and how to place it? Same thing with healing, with any of the other gifts… 57-0310E - Hear Ye Him
Look, the first gift is wisdom. What’s good’s it going to do you to have knowledge if you don’t know…have wisdom to know how to control your knowledge?
What good does it do you to speak with tongues, if you don’t have wisdom to know when, how, and to place it right? See what I mean? What good does it do to preach Divine healing when it just goes to pieces?

O, God, give us either a spiritual fundamental church, or a fundamental Pentecostal church. 57-0317 - Hear Ye Him
The first gift, in the line of gifts, is wisdom; the second is knowledge. And if you don’t have any wisdom, how do you know what to do with knowledge? Seek the best things first, wisdom.
And if you ain’t got wisdom, what can you do with knowledge, or speaking with tongues, or these other things? It takes wisdom. It takes God’s wisdom. Solomon said, “Call it your mother.” 57-0407M - God Keeps His Word
When the supernatural is done, it excites people, makes them get all excited and go haywire. When Moses done the supernatural down in Egypt, there was a mixed multitude that went with them, caused trouble in the camp.
You know that; all Bible readers are aware of that. It caused a mixed multitude: believers mixed up with unbelievers. It caused trouble in the camp later on. When the supernatural’s done, it makes people excited and they go wrong.
That’s the same thing happened in your Pentecostal realm. The supernatural was done. God poured out the first thing, the gift of the Holy Ghost to let the people speak in tongues. And then they got a lot of impersonation with it, carnal comparison.
Men get down and say a word over and over and over and over, till he gets some kind of a tongue to speak in. Or the supernatural in any way starts to being done, then there’s somebody tries to impersonate it.
Do you know God never made two men the same? There’s no two of you in all the world, or ever has been, that’s got the same thumbprint. God makes men different, and He has diversities of gifts and sends them to His Church.
But we just cramp down on one and there you go (You see?) you don’t get the wisdom of the Spirit. That’s the reason God can’t place us into the position where we should be in His body.
For to one is given this sort of a gift; to another this sort of a gift; to another, another sort of a gift, and so forth—but all the same body. But we want to be just exactly like that other one. You can’t do that. You must use the wisdom of the Word. The Bible’s what our Blueprint is. 60-0313 - Hear Ye Him
Christ is our Wisdom
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.
And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
We live in a time when the Gift of Wisdom should be in the church.
Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
Wisdom tells who we are and what time it is.
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
The Bible tells us when the two prophets die they send gifts to one another. The Romans always sent gifts to one another after a military victory.
So you see there, these stones that were sent then, of Revelation here, is the stones that were gifts sent one to another. Which only goes to show…The Bible said, the Revelation here, said, “Let him that has wisdom count the numbers of the beast. Let him that has wisdom do so-and-so. Let he that has the spirit of certain gifts do so-and-so.” You see how short the church is?
A young man asked me this morning about spiritual gifts, about speaking with tongues. A young fellow, very sincere, I believe he’s to be a minister some of these days. And about the church, I said, “There’s so much of it that’s flesh. We don’t want that, but we want the real thing. We long to have it.”
You can’t go to teaching it in the church; the first thing you know, you get, one’s got a tongue, one’s got a psalm, then you have to battle the thing out.

But when God has give a gift sovereignly, it’ll manifest itself. That’s right. See, that’s the gifts of God, that’s what He sends to the Church for overcoming. 57-1006 - Questions And Answers On Hebrews #3

Do you need wisdom? God has to give you the gift of the “word of wisdom”, we don’t seek gifts, but we can seek wisdom itself.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
